SentoClone®
SentoClone® is an adoptive immunotherapy based on T-cells collected from tumour draining lymph nodes, sentinel nodes.
T-cells from Sentinel nodes that are sent to SentoClone AB’s production unit in connection with surgery are activated and proliferated in vitro for approximately one month before they are returned to the patient. This is done through intravenous infusion.
Unlike many other forms of T-cell based immunotherapy SentoClone® utilises T-helper cells (CD4- positive cells) of the type Th1, instead of killer cells (CD8). The expectation is that this will result in a sustained response against tumour cells and in the best case it may result in a vaccination effect against cancer.
